RESTOCKED!!!

Philippine Society and Revolution remains a solid basis for understanding the history of the Filipino people, their basic problems and the new democratic revolution as the solution. It continues to challenge the persistent domestic ruling system of big compradors and landlords in the service of imperialists headed by the US. References to Philippine pre-history based on the 1969 level of knowledge and hypothesizing are properly explained by footnotes in the early pages of the book. They do not detract from the main strands of Philippine history, as presented in the book.

The book makes certain predictions about the Philippines on the basis of trends in 1969. The most important of these predictions is that the crisis of the ruling system would lead to a fascist regime, an open rule of terror, and that the revolutionary struggle of the people would grow in strength and advance. These predictions were proven true by further developments.
