“TIBAK” (The Story of the Kabataang Makabayan), an independent feature film about the young years (1960s) of JOMA SISON (founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines) is not solely focused on his life story, but is about the youth activism and struggle during that era, with Joma Sison as the leader, and how he linked with Bernabe Buscayno, who founded NPA.
Casting Requirements: YOUNG JOMA SISON – in his 20s (or looks like), bespectacled, lean, at least 5′ 7” tall, a bit Chinito, fair skinned, serious-looking, with an air of intelligence, privileged. YOUNG JULIE SISON – in her 20s (or looks like), fair-skinned, at least 5 feet tall, reserved type
Written and directed by Filipino journalist-now-filmmaker Arlyn Dela Cruz.
A number of other supporting / minor characters are also needed. This casting call is open for professional and new/ relatively new actors.
