ILPS CONDEMNS BOMBING ATTACKS ON KURDISH PEOPLE AND DEMANDS THAT THESE STOP IMMEDIATELY

-

By Prof. Jose Maria Sison
Chairperson
International League of Peoples’ Struggle
18 August 2011

We, the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), vigorously
condemn the bombing attacks on Kurdish communities by the reactionary
Turkish air force and demand a stop to such blind and vicious attacks on
the Kurdish people.

Some 15 US-supplied Turkish F-16 jet fighter planes dropped bombs
yesterday on the civilian population in Hakkari and elsewhere on the
pretext that they were raiding bases of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party
(PKK) in retaliation for  a successful ambush by a PKK fighting unit
on a Turkish army unit.

The Turkish war planes also attacked Qandil, a mountain on the
Iraqi-Iranian border, and in the process crossed the border.  The
Turkish reactionaries are hell-bent on carrying an air and ground
offensive in Kurdistan and across borders even before the end of the
Ramadan.

We stand firmly  in solidarity with the Kurdish people and militantly
support their struggle for national self-determination and democracy
against the Turkish chauvinists and fascists and their imperialist
masters.  It is reprehensible that the US and the European Union  and
their Turkish puppets misrepresent as terrorist  the Kurdish national
liberation movement.

We call on all member-organizations of the ILPS, their allies and the
broad masses of the people throughout the world to expose and oppose the
barbaric attacks on the Kurdish people by the Turkish reactionaries and
to undertake protest actions to demand the immediate end  of such
attacks. ###

Decision on the petition for proscription against the CPP-NPA as terrorist organizations filed by the DOJ on 21 Feb 2018 with the RTC branch...

The Program of the CPP which is also synonymous with “Plan of Action”, can be construed as the respondent organizations’ “purpose for being,” or the very reasons for its establishment. A perusal of the foregoing Program, consisting of lofty ideals readily shows that the CPP-NPA is organized or exists, not for the purpose engaging in terrorism.
