June 27, 2019

For the resounding success of the 6th International Assembly of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle, I thank and congratulate the hundreds of participants (delegations of member-organizations, special guests and observers), all responsible bodies such as the Hongkong host committee and its working personnel, the presidium, the commissions and all the groups in charge of the special events and forums.

All anti-imperialist and democratic forces and peoples of the world are eager to receive the documents and videos of the assembly proceedings (the plenary and commission sessions), the special events and forums. They look forward to the propagation and implementation of the General Declaration, resolutions and other decisions taken by the assembly.

I congratulate the newly-elected members of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) as well as the executive officers whom they have elected today to constitute the International Coordinating Group (ICG). I wish you the utmost success in carrying out the tasks set by the ILPS Charter and by the 6th International Assembly.

Further, I thank the 6th International Assembly for its appreciation of the accomplishments of the entire ILPS and the outgoing ICC and for my designation as ILPS Chairperson Emeritus. In this regard, I pledge to continue serving the ILPS in any appropriate and possible way as the ICC, the ICG and the incumbent Chairperson may deem from time to time.

All of us look forward to exerting more efforts and waging more mass struggles in order to further strengthen the ILPS as an alliance of anti-imperialist and democratic forces and enable it to work for the attainment of greater freedom, democracy social justice all-round development and international solidarity against imperialism and reaction. ###

Decision on the petition for proscription against the CPP-NPA as terrorist organizations filed by the DOJ on 21 Feb 2018 with the RTC branch...

The Program of the CPP which is also synonymous with “Plan of Action”, can be construed as the respondent organizations’ “purpose for being,” or the very reasons for its establishment. A perusal of the foregoing Program, consisting of lofty ideals readily shows that the CPP-NPA is organized or exists, not for the purpose engaging in terrorism.
