We, the International League of Peoples' Struggle, share your grief and
express our sincere condolences over the passing away of Comrade Peter
Symon, general secretary of the Communist Party of Australia, a
life-long communist and outstanding Marxist.
We have the highest respect and admiration for him as leader of the
Australian working class and as a resolute and militant fighter against
monopoly capitalism and for socialism and the ultimate goal of communism.
We feel a deep sense of loss over his death. At the same time, we are
gladly aware of his brilliant achievements and his inspiring legacy
which perpetuate his memory in our hearts and minds and in future
We take this opportunity to express our gratitude for his encouragement
and support for the building of the International League of Peoples'
Struggle in Australia as a broad alliance of anti-impertialist forces.
Long live the memory of Comrade Peter Symon!
Socialism will vanquish imperialism!
Long live the international solidarity of all workers and peoples!
